Need Advise


What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? Tx
My brother ex-wife filed for a divorce. They found out in court that see couldn't file for a divorce because she had filed bankruptcy. His ex-wife lawyer was advise to get the bankruptcy uplifted. My brother lawyer keep asking for more money and my brother keep trying to dish it out, but nothing is happening because his lawyer states that he is waiting on the bankruptcy to be uplifted. This divorce process has been going on since April and it is affecting my brother health Iam trying to help him because he really don't no what to do. he just want this divorce to be over. can someone please give him some type of advise.Thanks

Your brother has an attorney, these things take time and that is what he has an attorney for. Be supportive of your brother.

I don't know about Tx, but rmet4nzkx is right. It does take time. Here in Florida it takes 3 months from the date filed for a divorce to be finalized. Seeing that your brother has to wait until the bankruptcy is lifted, it may take longer then the 3 months. Good luck!!
