What is the name of your state?texas

I had heard about a no-fault divorce? What is that?

My father in law wants to sell the house I am in.Is there anything I can do to keep it?

Thanks Deanna

If your father in law owns the property, then no. Its not a marital asset. You could however, buy it from him if he was willing to sell it to you.

He has the note and I pay him monthly.I hope that helps.

Does that mean that you are purchasing it from him on contract? If so, you may have some recourse. Get a consult with an attorney.

If you have an actual, signed, contract then you may have recourse. You really MUST consult a local attorney.
