the never ending divorce

What is the name of your state? wisconsin
My divorce has been an ongoing thing for three years and running. We just got another court date for December and it still won't be over by then. It is taking FOREVER. My question is what is the sense of a legal separation date if she can still claim 1/2 of my businesses growth three years down the road. When she left I had 4 men working for me. Now I have almost 30 gus under me. She's been gone 3 years but is still going after 1/2 my companies worth. How can she do this if she hasn't been in my household for 3 years. She should be only entitled to it's net worth from the day she left. Who wouldn't drag out a divorce if you can reap the benefits of company growth without being around. Legal separation doesn't protect you in anyway in the state of Wisconsin so why even go through it? How is the possible? It doesn't seem fair at all. How do I speed this up to finish this. Three years is to much. The company CPA review still isn't done by her lawyer and how many times can it go back and forth. How do I get the judge to put a stop date to this stupidity. It's costing $$$$$$$.I just want her out of my life. Suggestions---please**************

If your divorce is taking three years, you have a bad lawyer.

I didn't realize the Wisconsin courts were so backed up that you would have to wait 7 MONTHS for a date! SJ is right. You have a very bad attorney.

This is exactly the reason "time-of-commencement" of the divorce action is used in New York State as the cut-off date for the property settlement.

His attorney sounds a little confused and may be representing the wrong party. It's been known to happen.

I'd be willing to guess he doesn't HAVE an attorney.
