I have no idea what you mean by "expensive." For some, that means one thing, and to others, something wholly different. Can you afford a $5,000.00 retainer fee ? You see, that amount is not "expensive" to me. Perhaps $1,000.00 ? $3,000.00 ? I have no idea. If you can't afford an attorney, then you might try buying a book on the subject from your larger bookstore, and give it the old college try, yourself. Good luck to you. IAAL |

Thanks for your response but My QUESTION was "CAN I DO IT?" "WITHOUT" paying an expensive attorney not if I could afford one. I am sure that I could afford one or two but my mission is to accomplish a goal and challenge myself on things that others may find to complicated. The question was never about money only about if i can do it or have anyone else succeeded in trying the do-it-yourself procedure? Thank You |

| My response: Well, of course laypeople have done this type of litigation on their own. These boards, as well as the court Clerk's offices around the country, are filled with pro se litigants - - all with varying degrees of success and failures. Again, and despite whether you can pay for an attorney, I have no idea whether or not you can "do this" yourself. You've never mentioned your educational background . . . so, only you can answer your question. So, your question was vague on both accounts; money and ability. But, you've got a good start at being a successful attorney - - that is, you've said everything and you've said nothing. Like I suggested, get a book and try. | As a matter of fact**************....I was provided with an HONEST answer and NO they did not say that it would be easy, just that it could be done, which was my original question. Thank you |

'Well, of course laypeople have done this type of litigation on their own.' Also, your 'original' question was, 'can i do this without paying for an expensive attorney?' This can be assumed you want to do it with an attorney, just not an expensive one... Finally, I am curious how you think you can file for "willful dissertion" when it was you who walked out on him! Oh well.. you may now leave and return to your other helpful place..
