No-fault divorce question

What is the name of your state? Mississippi

Well, as you've probably already figured I'm getting a divorce. Wonder where that idea came from

Anyways, the question I've got is that I've paid all of my fees with the exception of the attorny fee itself. I've sent the divorce papers (No-Fault) to her recently. I've spoken with her since then and she states that she has yet to get the papers, but I know she has as they were sent certified through the mail. I was wondering if she basicaly sits on the papers and does nothing what will happen? Will it be as though she were contesting the divorce or as though no contesting. And if no contesting, how long will it take before everything can begin to move forward as far as the process goes?

If you have not paid the filing fee, then nothing has been filed which means there is nothing to contest.

Thanks for the reply Ohiogal. That was a typo on my part, my apologies. The filing fee itself has been paid in full it's the attorny's fees that I'm needing to still pay

Ask the court to set a trial date in your lawsuit and make sure she gets a copy.
