What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TN
My husband lives in SC. I have been in TN for 2 years. He says he "won't fight" the divorce but won't sign the paperwork either. He states that he just won't respond when served for "spiritual" reasons. I want to do this myself.....file the papers. My question is: when he doesn't respond after being served, do I show up in court with paperwork to request a default judgement from the judge? What should I expect after I file the initial paperwork and my husband does nothing? I'm not sure the next step I should take. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
