not sure what to call itWhat is the name of your state? texas i had a boyfriend, 3 years total. he lived in my home for 1 year of that time, he left in february 2005, his belongings are still on my property. i have asked him repeatedly to come and get his things, sent a certified letter that he didn't sign for, it came back to me. during this time, i have also moved out, married, and tried to move on with my life. he seems to think now that he can file for a divorce. we never said to anyone that i was his wife, we had a checking account, in my name, with him as a convienient signer. that is the only thing community property that we shared. |

| He needs to prove that you presented yourselves as husband and wife. He only has a year after the date of break-up to do this. If he does take you to court, you will need an atty. Since he is doing this after possibly finding out about your marriage, and not when the break-up occured, will be beneficial. I'm sure that he is hurt since your marriage happened so quickly after the break-up. Wait it out to see if he actually files paperwork and don't aggravate him in the meantime. GL.
