If a person with a restraining order willingly goes out with the restrained party- will that nullify the R.O.?

Perhaps.

What IS guaranteed, however, is that the person will look like a complete idiot in court the next time they make a complaint.

(Which they likely will, let's face it)

Actually, the answer is no...

However, you are correct in saying that the next time they make a complaint, they'll probably be looked at sideways.

It doesn't nullify the order, but the party who is subject TO the order is guilty of violation.
