nunc pro tunc?

My trial ended with a jury decision on May 11th. The decree was not signed and filed until July 13th. Next to the date of July 13th is the wording "nunc pro tunc May 11th."

My question is which date is the official date of divorce? My ex-husband took out a substantial mortgage with another woman BETWEEN those dates. Do I have any recourse as regards to his stated income in court and how it effects child support vis-a-vis his sudden ability to qualify for this mortgage?

Nunc pro tunc means, in essence, that the court was correcting its own error, on its own motion.

The date that the court changed it to is the date the divorce was granted.
