NY Seperation and adultry

I am from NY and this last November 05, seperated from my husband due to spousal abuse. I have recently started seeing someone new, but have not been intimate in any way. Can anyone tell me the laws surrounding seperation in New York State and if I choose to start a relationship with this new man, can it be used against me as in adultry.

Your attorney would be the best source for that information.

Yes it CAN be used against you to secure the divorce but that has a very slim chance of affecting the property settlement.

If you both want the divorce, what would be the point of him raising the adultrey issue?
