In Texas, a friend of mine is incarcerated, for 6 years and hasn't seen his wife for several years. He is going to be filing for divorce. Recently he learned she is probably pregnant (due in July). Does this affect the divorce papers? Is his legally responsible for the child's support?

The child will need to be addressed as part of his divorce. No, he will not get permanently stuck with legal paternity of her child, as long as the child is properly addressed in the divorce.
