Pending finalization

What is the name of your state? NH

I was posting in another thread, now I find myself having to come here.

Brief recap: Went to divorce court in 2004. Divorce was granted, judgement was entered. It was never finalized. In 2005 we reconciled. When I contacted my lawyer he said it was never finalized because husband never signed the paperwork to finalize it. Now, the reconciliation didn't quite work out. The lawyer had told me that I could call him to have him finalize it at any time, it would never expire.

Now I am stuck where my husband doesn't want to go by any of the prior arrangements that the judge had granted. Since then we have moved to another state. We will be moving back to our home state in the summer.

My questions are: Can I have it finalized while residing in another state? We were married and "divorced" in another state. Or, do I have to wait until moving back to my home state to have it finalized?

Of anyone knows, please help me.

You need to contact the attorney who handled your divorce. He/she is the person who needs to answer your questions....particularly since your husband doesn't want to go by any of the prior arrangements.

Thanks!

I was planning on calling the attorney tomorrow regarding this. I was hoping maybe someone had been through something similar and might know.

I went in to my fridge and poured myself a large glass of milk. When I took a drink it tasted sour. I spit it out in the sink and dumped the rest of the glass out as well. I put the gallon of milk back in the fridge and am hoping in a week or so it will be better.

When I read your post I said the same thing to myself about your situation. I didnt learn with the first glass, and you didnt learn with the first divorce. I thought maybe, just maybe, the milk had changed and would be better now. Come to find out it was the same old sour milk. It makes perfect sense.

Are you for real????

Because I chose to try and do what's right for my kids????

I came here to ask a question....not to get judged on my choices.
