Pre-marital Assets/LiabilitiesWhat is the name of your state? Kansas. I am considering getting married. We have a 7 month old son together. She has no assets, plus $60K in school loans. I have about $60K in retirement assets, and about $100K equity in my home. I have two children prior to our relationship, she has one. Should this thing go wrong in a year or two (nothing is perfect), could I be held responsible for her debt, and could she claim half of my pre-martial assets? Thanks |

| Keep all your premarital assets SEPERATE, do not co-mingle! And get a PRENUP that clearly establishes what IS PREMARITAL. Make sure your attorney explains what acts create a cominglling of assets.
