previous debt that husband paid off by refinancing house

What is the name of your state? tennessee

i had $10,000 in debt prior to my marriage. after i married, my husband refinanced his house from a 30 year mortgage to a 15 year mortgage and got additional funds to pay off my debt and to put money away for a future vehicle. paying off my debt was my husbands decision, not mine because he is a "no debt/cash only kind of guy". we have only been married for 8 months. if we do end up divorcing, will i be required to pay him back this money? any help will be appreciated. thanks.
