My fiance got divorced almost two years ago and him and his ex went through a non contestent divorce. She had taken half their credit card debts and her car while he took over two mortgages, his car, and two other loans. She agreed to pay these bills and put them in her name soley but never did. She ruined his credit for not paying on her debts while he maintained his, now she filed bankruptcy and he is unable to get around the bills since he was also filing for primary custody of his kids. Since they used the same lawyer could this cause a problem in the fact that he was stuck with all these bills and can not get out of it? What can we do so we are not forced to sell the house, its worth less then he owes, and not be poor? Please help whoever can.
