My ex husband is required to have life insurance. We have been divorced for just over a year. His insurance agent tells me that she is not legally bound to send me proof of his life insurance policy. My ex will not send me a copy of his policy, or the cover letter showing proof of insurance. What is my recourse? Do I have to pay for a lawyer to MAKE him send me proof? Is it legal for me to request that information from the insurance company?
