What is the name of your state? Arizona
A very close friend of mine committed suicide two days ago and his wife was at his apartment that was leased in only his name yesterday taking all his property that he's aquired since serving her with divorce papers approximately 3 months ago. Does she have any rights to his property or would those rights be of his blood relatives?

**A: I see a fight already brewing.

*** As long as the divorce has not been finalized (court order), she is STILL his legal spouse and entitled to normal 'spousal property'. Any 'other' (not jointly owned) property would be owned by his estate.
