Question About AbandonmentWyoming. I have a question dealing with abandonment. Is it considured abandonment if the couple lives overseas and the wife takes the children back to her parents house (WY), then files for devorce. She is the one wanting a devorce. And she cant afford to live by herself overseas. So she is thinking her best option is to move back in with her parents. The husband has never hit her, they just do not get along anymore. |

If, OTOH, residence was US, how could she be abandoning husband by going back home? |

| That could make a significant difference to any advice given. Depending on the circumstances, the foreign country could have jurisdiction over the children's custody.
