question about appealing a divorce???What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Tennessee. Ok, i went through a divorce. my ex was supposed to send our last joint tax return to me through the us mail as part of the final decree. she has yet to do so and the judge has signed the decree. my ex is now getting married within the month. how do i notify the courts about not getting my paperwork. now there is a twist. i have filed judicial misconduct against the judge who presided over our case and got the judge from the judiciary disciplinary committee to sign a court order that the judge in question of our divorce is not able to preside over any case involving myself or any immediate family members until they finish investigating her. would i still be able to appeal the judges decision? if so, would i have to do it before my ex gets remarried? i know i cant appeal from my judicial misconduct that i filed on the judge, but i have a "strong" sense that if i can appeal on the grounds that i am going to try to, that i have a "great" chance at having the divorce overturned. i am only doing so because the judge did not allow me to get items that were mine before we got married. and im only asking for things that have had family memories before getting married; i.e, digital camera that takes video as well as stills that has pictures and videos of family gatherings of relatives who have passed recently. the judge denied me everything but the clothes on my back, literally. any insight or advice would be taken Last edited by vcpirate99; 01-19-2009 at 01:33 AM. |

| You file a motion to show cause regarding the tax paperwork.
