Question about divorce

What is the name of your state? Florida

I have a question about divorce...

Me and my wife got married 11 years ago in Venezuela
been living in the U.S for 3 years...
can we get divorced here in the U.S.? or do we have to do it in Venezuela?

Many thanks

You get divorced where you live. So file in FL.
Good luck to you.

As long as you meet the residency requirements for FL, you can get divorced in FL, and the divorce would be considered legally valid anywhere in the US.

Whether the divorce would be considered valid in Venezuela is beyond the scope of this board, however.
