I am legally separated and, under the terms of our Temporary Agreement, I am responsible for paying the real estate taxes on the house in which my soon-to-be-ex still lives. We are set for a trial in approximately one month but the taxes on the house are due this month. Since real estate taxes are always paid in advance, should I pay the entire year of taxes or should I pay only for the first couple of months? I ask this because it is extremely unlikely that I will be responsible for the taxes or the house payments once the divorce is finalized.
