Regarding Taxes in divorce Decree

I am in Colorado.

My husband and I have filed for divorce. It is mostly uncontested aside form ONE stipulation which was put into the divorce decree. It states that for the year of 2003, ( which he just filed recently since he was in korea he decided not to file, and so that he would leave my family alone, I allowed him to claim me, otherwise he would've ended up paying taxes) He agreed to give me $1000. from the $3k he was receiving. The decree in the divorce papers states that he must send the money to me withen 10 days of receipt.
My husband is a very very unreliable person who has no problem with breaking the law. He received the return on March 25th. I have been unable to contact him in Kansas via phone or email.
I called his lawyers and asked them for assistance. They told me they would send him a letter ( this was a week ago_) instructing him to send the money, so as to avoid having to go to court with me over something pety that he should've done in the first place.
What do I do if he does not pay this? It has already been 20 days. What do I do? I'm a single mom working one job and I have no money to afford a lawyer for myself unfortunatly. So I am unsure of what my rights are, and what I am suppose to do to enforce this. We both signed the divorce decree with this stipulation in it, and it has gone to the courts.
Any and all advice would be grealy appreciated.

Thank you

You would file for contempt. You can do it yourself if you cannot afford an attorney. Your courthouse with jurisdiction would have the forms you need to do it.
