What is the name of your state? NC

My husband and I were married only 8 months ago. One month ago, we bought a house. The mortgage is in my name only but his name appears on the deed of the house. Due to his excessive alcohol use and gambling, I want a divorce. What measures can be taken for me to keep my home and remove his name from the deed???????

First, you have to get him to agree to the removal, then get his notarized signature on a quit claim deed.
This is simply not something that you can do without his approval or knowledge.
