Residency when filing for divorceIndiana I don't know if anyone can help with this, but my wife filed for divorce right after moving to a new county and I would think you would be required to have a permanent residence for a certain amount of time before a divorce petitition can be filed. Even though she was coming and going from our house;(staying with friends etc.) she obtained an apartment around the same time she filed for divorce. Help please. |

| IC 31-15-2-6 Residence (a) At the time of the filing of a petition under section 4 of this chapter, at least one (1) of the parties must have been: (1) a resident of Indiana; or (2) stationed at a United States military installation within Indiana; for six (6) months immediately preceding the filing of the petition. (b) At the time of the filing of a petition under section 4 of this chapter, at least one (1) of the parties must have been: (1) a resident of the county; or (2) stationed at a United States military installation within the county; where the petition is filed for three (3) months immediately preceding the filing of the petition.
__________________ There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution). Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |
