What is the name of your state?
Texas

I plan on getting married someday and realize that half of marriages end in divorce. Although I do not want to get a prenup I was wondering in the even I do get a divorce what should I do to be protected. You see I have some retirement, mutual funds and a savings account that I started when I was a young adult and would not want to lose any of it. What can I do as far as paperwork goes or since I will keep it in my name only will it be protected? I am basically trying to say how can I keep it as separate property throughout the marriage. Thanks.
