Question

SC Law

What is the name of your state? South Carolina

I have a seperation agreement where nothing is being contested by either party. My question is...1) Do we have to sign this and have it witnessed in front of a magistrate or 2) can we sign it, have it witnessed and notorized and file it ourselves in the magistrate courts office? Any info would be appreciated!

In order for it to be valid, it would have to be signed by both of you and then also filed with the court and approved by the court.
