In GA, what are the obligations when you are separated (not legally) in regards to adultery. Can you date other people without suffering repercussions when you actually divorce?

Some states require a period of separation before granting a divorce. Georgia does not. You and your spouse may have a voluntary separation agreement between the both of you.

This agreement is a contract between you and your spouse. It allows you to settle as many of your marital matters as you can both agree upon, and doesn’t require any court action. Neither party can be forced to sign the agreement, but once both do, it is enforceable in court, should you persue a divorce later on. Georgia...has simple divorce laws. Neither you nor your spouse has to be at fault; in other words, you don’t have to prove such things as adultery, ( so neither of you will suffer repercussions when you actually divorce) desertion, or mental cruelty. Almost all divorces are obtained on the ground of an irretrievable breakdown of the marriage. Some states call it "irreconcilable differences." I hope this helped you.
