is there such thing as a free separation agreement? Or can you make up your own? The county clerk says you can get them online but I havent found one (without having to pay)- I have been on the NYS site and there are no forms about separation - only divorce.

Aslo, do you NEED a separation agreement? or is there some other document you can use to officially start the ball rolling for the 1-year separation term before being eligible for divorce?
