SeperationWhat is the name of your state? California, My ex-girlfriend and I bought a home together and now we have seperated. I want to be removed from the loans on the house, but she does not want to refinance in order to do so. I am also asking for a buy out, based on equity that is in the property. What are my options, since she does not want to refinance? |

My response: Tell her you're going to sue her for "Partition" and have a judge order that the house be sold and any profits divided. Tell her that doing so is going to cut deeply into her share. IAAL |

| I have not lived in the house since early this year. I have also not paid any mortgage for the home. With this "Partition" will it require us to split any profits 50/50? And, if I wait, will this apply to any future equity that builds up in the home? |
