What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WI

My wife and I have filed for legal separation about a month ago, our court date is scheduled for sometime in April. I need a car and plan on taking out a car loan. Will this still be marital property or can I take full posetion of this?

Your problem isn't the car itself, its any marital property that you may use as a downpayment and any equity the car might have.

If the car has no equity/no big down payment, its not going to be an issue.
