To be served with papers

What is the name of your state? Oregon

I was told by my wife in Tennessee that I will be served with divorce papers? Does it meant I be served by process server or be mailed? I hope by mail, not to be embarassened by process server, ha.

Another question... if I find out I don't like something on divorce papers, do I have a time to get a lawyer via legal aid to fight on this? The reason I did not get a lawyer was becuz wife told me I would agree to all of those terms on the papers.

I would have to look at what the rules say about being served out of state, however, if I was to guess it would be a process server....

You always have the right to object, and upon being served, depending on the local rules, you have a said amount of time to respond and/or object. The part that I cannot answer for you would be if you whould have enough time to get legal aid on board as well.
