removing liability while married
What is the name of your state? - CA
I have been married for 20+ years and want to take legal action so that I am not responsible for my husbands debt or have any liability for his actions. We own a home together. He is an alcoholic and drives drunk from time to time. In the past, he has also incurred debt which I didn't know about.
Is there some immediate legal action I can take other than divorce?
I would appreciate any input.
