Spouse lives in another State

What is the name of your state?I am in Miami, Florida and my spouse recently moved to Denver, Colorado. Although I know his address, the papers say that if I don't have a process server, I would have to place a publication in the newspaper and wait for him to respond to me. That would take to long and I am eager to get this divorce out of the way. How do I go about finding a process server and what exactly would they be doing? Would the sherrif in my spouse's State be able to do anything? Thanks in advance for your help!

It would probably be in your best interest to get yourself an attorney. It doesn't sound like you understand "the papers". Service by publication is only possible if you have absolutely no idea where the other party is located.
