Is there a way to find out if you are legally divorced? My friend just filed for a divorce in Contra Costa County California. We went online and looked up marriages in Las Vegas (where the wife lives) and it shows she got married in 2003. He never signed anything and lived in Oregon at the time. Just want to know where to look to see if a divorce has taken place without his knowledge. Thanks.

Nevada requires --- Requirements for divorced people marrying: To obtain a marriage license and have a legal marriage divorces must be final in the state where granted. The date of the final decree and city and state where granted are required.
