I live in CA and my husband and I are in the process of divorce. We went to mediation today for our children and we did not agree on a visitation schedule. Can he fight me on moving out of the county w/ our kids? He said he's taking me to court over it and he also said he's filing a restraining order against me. For what? I don't know. I don't "ever" call him and we hardly see each other unless it's when he picks/drops off the kids. What do you need to be able to file a restraining order? I think he's losing it. I have asked the courts to get him to go to anger management classes before they award him joint legal custody. Can that happen? I really need advice on what to do to protect myself. I have no means to get an attorney to fight him on any of these issues.

Yes, he can fight you on moving the kids. That may well be what the restraining order is about - restraining you from removing the children from the state/county/town they currently reside in.
