Question

Is it too late?

What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

I am going through a 2 yr separation divorce. The 2 yrs has passed and the process has started. I have received the affidavit under section 3301(d) of the divorce code which said i had 20 days to respond or the statements would be admitted. I had gotten a free consultation and she told me that after that set of papers id get the notice of intention waiver and id have 20 more days to respond but something i just read online said that if i dont respond to a complaint in divorce in 20 days i wouldnt be notified of anything or have any say so? do i still have the extra 20 days like she said or am i outta luck now? any help on this please.

Have any say so or out of luck? For what? Do you want to fight the divorce? Do you want to fight for equitable distribution of marital assets? You had 20 days to respond to the complaint of divorce. Your "answer to the complaint". If you deny or refute any allegations, this would be the time to do so.
If you have no problems at all with the petition, allegations or there is no equitable division to be done, then you can sign the consent & waiver form and after it is received by the Prothonotary, your decree will be signed by the Judge 90 days later.
