Trouble with irresponsible wife

What is the name of your state? TX

husband works 7 days a week. wife spends money, gets into debt, husband gets tired of bailing wife out, stops bailing her out. Is husband responsible for debts incurred by his wife? Individual checking accounts, wife's account is always overdrawn. Wife still owes a previous bank for an overdrawn account. What advice for this husband?

Husband can be responsible for wifes debts created during the marriage.

Advice? Personal, not legal: Close all credit accounts immediately, especially jointly held accounts. Suggest wife attend credit counseling.
