Trouble with paperwork and remarriage!!

Well me and my soon to be ex have been seperated for a year now, when he told me he wanted a divorce. He is military and left for NY without me and the kids. He asked me to do the divorce cause he said that in NY you have to be seperated a year before you can divorce. So being the nice one I started the divorce and paid a lawyer and we agreed on everything. Sent him the paperwork for uncontested divorce and he didn't like some stuff so i changed it. Then it was wrong still, changed it again. Got the feeling he didn't want to sign cause he was collecting more money from the military while married to me. He is now deployed. My lawyer got a warning order of attorney for my dissolution of marriage. He hasn't responded within the 50days which is soon. Once the day comes and it is signed. How long do i wait til i can remarry or is there another waiting period? Just wondering. Please I need advice soon. Thanks so much.

My military background is nonexistent but I am thinking that since he is deployed you may waiting until he comes back. Did you have a hearing yet? If not then you can't have a hearing until he returns from overseas. You may be waiting a while. Military law protects deployed military from lawsuits.

Well, I wasn't told about a hearing. See my ex mother in law said the same thing when she called my lawyer but my lawyer informed her that I can do this. But it will be unresolved. All I know is that we sent him paper work certified mail and someone signed for it and i am to wait 50 days. Then the judge will sign it and i will be divorced. Thats all i know. And there won't be nothing about the house or the car cause it is unresolved and when he returns i will probably have to go back to court to resolve the other issues. I will just be divorced. Also if it does go through, how soon can I remarry? Thanks so much for your time.....
