What is the name of your state?

Ohio

My husband and I have been married for 30 yrs. Much of that time we have been separated. I have struggled to raise our two
children with very little support. He recently told my son he has
been buying and selling real estate for years. He lives in The District of Columbia. I recently visited there and looked up public
records. To my surprise I discovered a deed that was signed by
him and the maritial status was unmarried. This property and I
don't know how many more were purchesed during the marriage
He sold the property for close to $100.000. Years ago he tried to
claim the children on the tax return and I turned him in.
Is this legal? Do I HAVE ANY RIGHTS AT ALL

Dear Home Guru
Thanks for responding. I have been advised to get a divorce but
that would stop my hospitalization and I cannot afford to pay for any. If you have any more suggestions please let me know.

Many Thanks

You turned him in for claiming the children...why? He has every right, they're his too. There's no divorce, so there's nothing to stop him from claiming his children, just like there's nothing stopping you.

You don't want to divorce him, you want him for insurance. ????

You have been living separate lives, have been content living separate lives and now want to stake a claim on property? Is it possible he divorced you somehow and you don't know it?
