What is the name of your state? TX
I have been on this forum before for guidance in the DIY divorce process. Now I have another question. Anyone who is familiar with Harris County in Texas, please advise...
Motion for divorce was filed by STBX 60 days ago. I followed that with a Waiver of Citation.
The STBX tells me all we have to do now is show up, without a scheduled appointment, sometime after the 60 days has passed, with final decree in hand.
That seems odd to me. First, do you really just show up and wait your turn to see the judge? Second, wouldn't the judge want to see the decree beforehand?
How much time will we get with a judge?
I know you 'show up' for things like getting a driver's license at DPS or filing immigration paperwork at an INS center.
But a divorce? With a judge?
