My friends daughter got married in July of 1999. The husband got mad and tore up the marriage certificate. The marriage was never recorded with the county clerks office. Are they legally married in the state of New Mexico?

I hope somebody answers you question....I'm in the same boat only I remarried. If no one answers you, I'll keep you posted of the out come of my situation.

I'm not an attorney, just sharing knowledge and personal experiences.
