want out of abusive marriage!

ive been married for 18 yrs.i have 3 kids ages 16,13,4.my husband has a history of alcohol abuse.he becomes physical with us and verbally abusive.we have seperated, he has had restraining orders,arrested for 2nd degree trespassing,3 DWI's etc.. i put him in detox,he went through programs at mental health etc..in the past.the problem is he controlled the alcohol and behavior for a few years but has started the abuse again.2 months ago he pulled a loaded shotgun on us(police were called) last week he put his fist in my 13 yr olds face and threatened him.and the same old his family is worthless talk.i have a 4 yr old that has been diagnosed with autism,hyperlexia and adhd.this little guy goes to thearpy once a week and to behavor specialist.he cant take loud noises among many other things. and the abuse my husband inflicts is taking its toll on him.he has not hit my kids yet. but he will get in their face yelling and pushing with his body etc... we want out!!!!!out of this for good!!!!i have no family to go to .and he does . i will not give up my home .and my autistic child cant deal with change.what can i do in nc to make him leave? short of having him locked up.

First, ignore, IAAL (GA Lynch Mob). The administrator is working on that problem.

More importantly, have your husband locked up! At this point, you have to do that. As the other poster asked, will his family take you in? If you absolutely refuse to have your husband arrested, then you have to do something. By staying, you are putting your children, and yourself, in harms way. If you don't care about yourself, do care about your children. If that means your husband gets arrested, then so be it! You have a child that is ill, protect him.

You could have gotten a restraining order after the loaded shotgun incident.
It may be too late to get one now but you can still try. A restraining order is one way to get him out of the house.
