what is legal and not

What is the name of your state? CA

My question is if a couple get married and then about 10 years later having two kids they find out that the husband and first wife were still married would that mean that the second marriage is not legal and what would it mean if the first wife died and the husband is now a widower?

PS Doesn't anyone respond to questions like this? This is the second one I have asked and was not responded too.

Well I hope this marriage is not legal because I do not love this man anymore, I am in love with someone else, And I am tired of being verbally abused by this 78 year old ill mannered man.

My response:

No, it doesn't mean that the second marriage is "not legal." The second marriage is legal, subject to either: (1) Voidability by the court, or (2) Putative Spouse status. Or, there's even a third choice - - keep your mouth shut.
