Who pays the bill

What is the name of your state? I am from Tennessee and was in an auto accident. The vehicle was on a bank loan and required to have full coverage insurance. I was driving, but the vehicle was my husband's before we were married. We are now divorcing. He wants to split the money owed on the vehicle. Am I responsible for this debt since I was driving it when wrecked

Yes you are. Legally it is a marital debt. But why would you think you would NOT be responsible? Who would be? The insurance fairy? Grow up and try to show some responsibility as an adult. Truthfully morally YOU should pay the whole thing.
