What is the name of your state?

Tennessee

Husband and I are separated. I am currently and have always paid for auto and insurance. Husband drove car to "store" after separation but now refuses to give car back. Car is my name and I have made all payments. Husband has no license (for 20 years) and is unemployed and cannot and would not make required payments. Can he legally keep vehicle?

Call the police and report the car as stolen. Tell them where you think it might be and let them deal with your husband. If his name is not on the loan then he is stealing your car.
