What is the name of your state?
What is the name of your state? California
I got married last year. Not too long ago, my husband got a call from his ex-wife saying that she got a letter in the mail about their divorce not being finalized. They took the proper steps to get the divorce finalized. So that makes our marriage void, right? Someone told me that we need to get an annulment. But, why would we need to get an annulment? Why can't we just get re-married?

I would recommend getting a consult with a local attorney, however I am pretty sure that you are going to have to annul the first marriage.
