Wife walked out 2 months ago, can I lock her out?

Hi:
My wife decided to leave two months ago and is pushing forward for a legal sep, etc... it has been fairly ammicable between us. However, I am a little nervous about letting her have free access to the house. This is a house that was purchased by me before the marriage and currently houses myself and my 12 yr old son from a previous marriage. I asked her to only come there for mail and such when I am there but would like to make sure everything is secure until after the sep is agreed on, can I lock her out? Do I have a right to do this?

Its your house, she moved out of her own free will...its been two months...I think its probably safe at this point to change the locks.

I realize there are multiple ways to look at this (as she put it), I feel bad about it but going through this makes me question how much I really know her...just want peace of mind.

At some point it really is all about how you feel and "trust".

My ex and I split up 14 years ago. He STILL has a key to my house, and occasionally uses it. In fact, I had to replace my locks when I lost my keys...and he, as well as my mother, got a new key then. However, we have trust. If you don't, that doesn't make you wrong to want to keep your "space" to yourself. You honestly don't have to feel bad about it. Most people divorcing don't have access to each other's "space".
