What is the name of your state? Washington:
confused:
Here's a confusing one. I've been married 15 yrs. My husband recently decided to take up a gambling habit.
He charged several thousand $$ on my credit card before I found out about it.
I have since removed him from my accounts and opened a separate checking account.
I don't want to throw 15 years away, we have a 13 yr. old son to think about. We all get along fine, I still love him dearly and don't want to divorce.
My problem. We live in a community property state and I think he has taken out personal loans to support his gambling 'habit'.
I don't want to be financially responsible for his personal loans that he gets and gambles away.
If I get a legal separation, will that release me from the financial responsibility without having to get a divorce?
