Charge of Assault & BatteryWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VASir, My husband and 20 year old daughter got in a terrible fight the other day (Sept 23), with it ending in 911 being called. The police came, and my husband was placed under arrest. He was taken to the Magistrate, ( and was released on $1500.00 bond. An emergency Protective Order was given for our daugher. Our daughter feels terrible, and is devestated by what my husband has been through. My husband has been retired for 1 year, after 24 years in the army. He has never done so much as even received a parking ticket! Our daughter lives at home. When this happened, my husband went to stay at a hotel - and he is still there. Is there any hope at all that the charges could be dropped or dismissed? |
