I understood that's what you were referring to. That's why I made the comment that the family may have attempted a "cover up" by lying about how he died, but I'd bet the suicide isn't as big of a secret as OP might think it is.

And I agree with Carl that hesitancy or refusal to believe the deceased could have done such a thing is an understandable reaction from those who loved and respected him.

On the other hand, I wouldn't bet good money that this isn't homework, or plot research, or simply a troll--but that's only because I've gotten cynical in my old age.
